Peanut Butter Week! Sandwiches

Of course we have also been enjoying sandwiches with the dual purpose of using up old peanut butter AND bread flour used to make the bread. 

We've been enjoying the old stanby of peanut butter and jelly using canned jam from last summer.  Here DD#3 is digging in.

I've also made DH peanut butter and pickle sandwiches for lunch.  It sounds gross, but you ought to try it before casting judgement.  You may be surprised.  This sandwich also uses pickles from the pantry.

We also have plans to make peanut butter & honey when we get home from vacation.  My family of origin was very poor when I was small and we only ever had grape jelly because it is so inexpensive.  Some months when the jelly ran out we had to have honey instead and for years it felt like like honey was a disappointing substitute in peanut butter sandwiches.  As an adult I really like peanut butter and honey sandwiches but I still can't stand grape jelly.  I'm not sure my kids have ever even tasted it.
